Polk County Public Works

Polk County Public Works is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that keeps our community running smoothly. Our team works tirelessly to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality across each of our public spaces. Through careful planning and responsive service, Polk County Public Works plays a crucial role in supporting a high quality of life for our Polk County residents.

Public Works' primary responsibilities include the maintenance of roads, bridges, road signs, drainage and vegetation control. The Public Works Department exists to provide safe and efficient movement of people and goods within the county and is committed to maintaining a well-kept and safe community.

In order to better serve our citizens, we have relocated a few resources previously housed under Public Works:

Driveway Application - For more information on Driveway Application requirements, please contact the Polk County Building Inspection Office.
Timber Harvesting - For more information on Timber Harvesting, please contact County Clerk, Jaime Armstrong.

For any additional assistance, please contact our office at 770-749-2132. Thank you!
