NEWS RELEASE: Police Department

On Saturday, April 12th, at approximately 2053 hours, officers of the Polk County Police Department Patrol Division were involved in a vehicle pursuit. During the incident, Officer John Chandler and Officer Tre McDonald both sustained serious injuries. Officer McDonald is currently home recovering from his injuries, and Officer Chandler is still in an area hospital going through a second surgery today for his injuries. We sincerely appreciate the support we have received and covet your continued prayers for our injured officers.

At this time, the Polk County Police Department is actively seeking the location of WANTED SUSPECT, Albert Ladell (A.J.) Ware. Anyone with knowledge of Mr. Ware's whereabouts is encouraged to call Polk County E-911's Non-Emergent line at 770-748-3400 or the Polk County Police Office directly at 770-748-7331. Citizens providing information may remain anonymous, if they so choose.
