Esom Hill Fire Station Opens!
Today, we proudly celebrate the grand opening of the new Esom Hill Fire Station! This is more than a new station—it’s an investment in the safety, strength, and future of Polk County. This project was made possible through SPLOST dollars.
This fire station stands as a symbol of the department's enduring commitment to protecting the lives, property, and well-being of the citizens of Polk County. This station proudly unites the distinguished legacies of Blooming Grove - Station 1, and Esom Hill - Station 8, that were both established in the early 1970’s. Though these departments now serve together under one roof, the heritage they built through decades of courage, sacrifice, and selfless service will forever be remembered.
This project honors the founding members whose vision and leadership brought Polk County Fire-Rescue to this point today. It also honors the volunteer firefighters who answered every call with dedication and bravery. Their character, perseverance, and devotion created a legacy that continues to inspire those who follow. Lastly, it honors the families of those firefighters and the community supporters whose unwavering commitment made their service possible.
May this station stand as a lasting tribute to those who served this County many decades ago and as a reminder to future generations that the strength of Polk County Fire-Rescue is built upon honor, tradition, and a steadfast commitment to serving others.
