E-911 Call Center

Polk County E-911 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The E-911 Division handles communications and dispatching for all law enforcement agencies within the county and city, county fire departments, and emergency medical services, as well as forestry needs, animal control, and more. Every effort is made by the Polk County E-911 Call Center to prevent harm and loss of life, protection and/or loss of property and to assist any citizen in their time of crisis.

E-911 REMINDERS

  • We do not give legal advice.  Please seek legal counsel or we can send a police officer.
  • If you dial 911 by mistake, stay on the line.  We will need to verify there is no problem, otherwise, police will be sent to your location.
  • Make sure your children know their address and phone number.
  • Your house number should be clearly posted and visible from the street.
  • Always pay attention to your surroundings.
  • Be proactive in getting your information to E-911 in the event of a crisis by utilizing the Smart911 app.
