Polk County Superior Court Clerk Office Seeking Board of Equalization Member

Interested in becoming more involved in local government?


The Polk County Clerk of Superior Court is currently seeking applicants for the Board of Equalization to serve as a board member. The BOE is made up of 3 impartial members who hear and determine result of appeals related to assessments and homestead exemptions.


Important Information:

  • All hearings are held during the day
  • BOE Member must attend mandatory 40 hour training during 1st year (8 hour update training annually)
  • Applicants must be 18 years old
  • Applicants must have no felony convictions
  • Applicants must be an owner of real property within Polk County
  • Applicants must be able to serve on Grand Jury
